*****

-CLIP: Nikita Koloff attacks Lex Luger (WrestleWar ’91 – 2.24.91)

-Schiavone and Solie vamp about Luger/Koloff then take it to ANOTHER workout video from Koloff’s dungeon.

“The Natural” Dustin Rhodes & The Young Pistols (Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong) defeated Johnny Boyd, Mark Kyle, & Joe Cruz when Rhodes pinned Boyd with the Bulldog (6:03)

  • Feels like I’ve seen Rhodes & The Pistols in action more than the actual Six-Man Tag Team Champions at this point.
  • WAY LONGER than it needed to be but had some good showcase moments. I like that the Pistols set up Rhodes for his Bulldog finish every time.

-Schiavone invites Lex Luger ringside for a chat about Nikita Koloff.

Owen Hart defeated Pat Rose via pinfall with a twisting flying crossbody (3:11)

-PROMO: Sid Vicious says he’s the real giant in professional wrestling.

Sid Vicious defeated Jamie McKinnon via pinfall with the Power Bomb (1:55)

  • Schiavone calls McKinnon “Martinez” on commentary. Apparently he watched a different match.
  • INSERT PROMO: El Gigante is mad about what Sid did to Brian Pillman at WrestleWar ’91. Pillman can and is fighting his own battles, big guy. Also I thought he WANTED THE BELT?
  • POST-MATCH: Sid’s EMTs roll McKinnon on the gurney, Sid beats him up some more as he’s wont to do.

The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael “P.S.” Hayes & Jimmy “Jam” Garvin) [w/ Big Daddy Dink] defeated Brett Wayne & Tommy Angel when Garvin pinned Angel with the DDT (1:50)

  • Diamond Dallas Page enters first alongside a Diamond Doll so he can make fun of Alabama and introduce Big Daddy Dink and The Freebirds.
  • INSERT PROMO: The Steiner Brothers are going to hurt The Freebirds because they’re in the hurtin’ business.
  • A big announcement concerning the vacant United States Tag Team Championship will happen on next week’s show.

Stan “The Lariat” Hansen defeated “Jumpin” Joey Maggs via pinfall with the Lariat (1:11)

  • POST-MATCH: Schiavone interviews Hansen at ringside. Hansen says he got rid of Vader and now he’s going to beat up all the pretty boys in WCW.

-After a commercial break we’re back at ringside where Schiavone is joined by Alexandra York and Mr. Hughes. York clarifies that Bobby Eaton and Tom Zenk were never considered for The York Foundation. Bobby Eaton interrupts and says he never wanted to be part of the Foundation in the first place and she can shove it up her ass. Terrance Taylor attacks from behind and soon enough it’s a 2-on-1 assault with Hughes joining in. They roll Eaton into the ring, where his opponent Lou Fabiano immediately goes on the attack.

“Beautiful” Bobby Eaton defeated Lou Fabiano via pinfall with the Alabama Jam (1:06)

-PROMO: “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair is not going to back out of the cage match against Sting.

El Gigante defeated Jim Boss via pinfall with the Claw (1:12)

  • Schiavone announces Ricky Morton & Tommy Rich vs. Ric Flair & Barry Windham for next week’s show. Should be good. I wonder if Big Josh will be jealous.
  • POST-MATCH: Sid Vicious shows up at ringside with his stretcher while Gigante celebrates his victory. Vicious calls Gigante a stupid dog while he rules the world, and vows to have him ride out on a stretcher. Schiavone enters the ring to get Gigante’s response and it’s…unintelligible. HA. That ends the show.
